Board & Train — Plano, TX

Two weeks with us

Then we stay

Most board & trains end at pickup. Ours don't — because we coach you, so the results hold at home.

The going-home problem

The training doesn't fail.

The handoff does.

Most board-and-train programs train the dog, hand back the leash, and wish you luck. Two weeks later the old behavior is back — not because the dog forgot, but because nobody taught you how to keep it. At Cosmic Canine we train the dog and coach you. The real work starts when your dog comes home, so that's where we stay.

What's included

Everything in the two weeks —and everything after.

Daily

Multiple one-on-one sessions every day

Not group time, not kennel time with a walk. Individual sessions built around your dog's specific behavior, adjusted daily as they progress.

Overnight

Boarding with structure and consistency

The hours between sessions matter. Rest, handling, and routine are all part of the program, so your dog isn't learning one thing and practicing another.

For you

Owner lessons and clear coaching

You'll work your own dog, with a trainer beside you, until the mechanics feel natural. You leave knowing exactly what to do — not just what we did.

After

Take-home plan and ongoing support

A written plan for your household, plus continued access to your trainer as real life comes up. Questions after week three are expected, not an imposition.

Real results

From families who took their dog home.

Before Cosmic Canine, walks were stressful because our dog would pull, lunge, and react to almost everything around us. After training, we can finally enjoy calm walks around the neighborhood. The difference has been incredible.

Sarah . Luna
German Shepherd

We needed more than someone to simply teach our dog commands. Cosmic Canine showed us how to create structure and reinforce good behavior at home. Now our dog listens better, settles down more easily, and fits into our busy family life so much better.

Michael · Cooper
Labrador

We completed training months ago, and the results have actually lasted. What we learned wasn’t just about getting our dog to behave during training—it gave us the tools to maintain those habits at home and in everyday situations. We finally feel confident handling our dog.

Who this is for

Board & Train is the right fit when…

The behavior is bigger than a weekly class

Reactivity, aggression, or severe behavior issues that need daily, controlled repetition — not one hour a week between long stretches of rehearsing the problem.

You need a genuine reset

You're not short on care, you're short on hours. Two weeks of consistent work gives you a foundation you couldn't build in the margins of a working week.

You want results that last

You're not looking for two good weeks. You want a dog you can live with in a year, which means you have to learn the handling too — and you're willing to.

Not sure your dog fits? Send a short video. We'll watch it and tell you honestly what we think — including if something else would serve you better.

How it works

Four steps, and

one of them is you

01

Free consultation or video assessment

Come see the facility, or send a short video of the behavior. Either way we get a clear picture of your dog before anyone commits to anything.

02

A customized two-week program

We build the plan around your dog's specific behavior and your household's real life — the walks you want to take, the guests you want to have over.

03

Daily training, plus your coaching

Multiple one-on-one sessions a day for your dog. Lessons for you, so you're not meeting a trained dog for the first time at pickup.

04

A clear handoff, then continued support

You go home with a written plan and the mechanics in your hands. Then we stay reachable, because week three is when the real questions show up.

Questions

What people ask before they book.

What does a two-week Board & Train cost?

The two-week program starts at $[X], which includes daily one-on-one sessions, overnight boarding, your owner lessons, the take-home plan, and ongoing support. Dogs with more involved behavior cases may need a longer program — we'll tell you that on the consultation, before you book, not after.

What actually happens during the two weeks?

Your dog gets multiple individual training sessions every day, built around the behavior you came to us for. Between sessions, they're boarded with structure — rest, handling, and routine that reinforce the work instead of undoing it. You'll hear from us during the stay so you can see progress as it happens.

Do you guarantee results?

No honest trainer can guarantee a living animal's behavior, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we can promise is this: your dog will leave with real, demonstrable skills, you'll leave knowing how to maintain them, and we'll stay available while you do. If we don't think we can help your dog, we'll tell you at the consultation rather than take your deposit.

Is two weeks long enough for reactivity or aggression?

Two weeks builds the foundation and gives you the handling skills to keep going. For serious reactivity or aggression, the honest answer is that the program starts the work rather than finishing it — which is exactly why the coaching and ongoing support matter more than the two weeks do. We'll be specific about your dog's timeline on the consultation.

What training methods do you use?

Primarily positive, never permissive, always fair. We build clear communication your dog can actually understand, and we hold to it consistently. You'll see exactly what we do and why — nothing happens with your dog that we haven't shown you and taught you to do yourself.

What do you need from me before drop-off?

Current vaccination records, your dog's regular food, and a realistic description of what's been happening at home — including the parts that are hard to admit. The more honest the picture, the better the plan.

Can I visit during the stay?

We'll talk about this on the consultation. For some dogs mid-stay visits help; for others they set progress back. Either way you'll get regular updates, and your owner lessons are built into the program before pickup.

Stop managing the problem. Start fixing it.

Call us, or send a short video of what's going on. The assessment is free, and the answer will be honest either way.
