Your dog receives multiple individual training sessions each day based on the goals established before the program begins. Between sessions, your dog follows a structured routine that includes appropriate rest, handling, exercise, enrichment, and opportunities to practice what they are learning.

You will receive updates during the stay so you can follow your dog’s progress. Before your dog goes home, we will teach you how to use the same communication, structure, and handling skills so the training can successfully transfer into everyday life.

Before your dog goes home, we will demonstrate the work we have completed and show you that your dog can perform the trained skills under the conditions in which they were taught. We will also teach you how to communicate with and handle your dog so you can continue that progress at home.

What no ethical trainer can guarantee is how a dog will behave in every environment, under every circumstance, for the rest of its life. Dogs are living animals, and long-term results depend on continued practice, consistency, appropriate management, and owner follow-through.

What we can—and do—guarantee is our work, honest communication, clear owner instruction, and continued support. We will remain available to help you apply the training at home, work through challenges, and continue progressing toward your goals. If we do not believe we can ethically or realistically help your dog, we will tell you before you enroll.

That depends on the dog, the severity and history of the behavior, and the situations in which it occurs.

A two-week program can establish important communication, handling skills, boundaries, and new behavior patterns. However, serious reactivity or aggression is rarely “finished” in two weeks. These cases often require continued owner participation, careful management, and follow-up coaching after the initial training period.

During your consultation, we will evaluate whether the two-week program is appropriate and give you an honest recommendation based on your individual dog. We will not place every dog into the same program or promise a timeline that the case does not support.

We will explain the techniques and tools used with your dog, demonstrate how to use them correctly, and make sure you understand both what to do and why it works. Our goal is not simply short-term compliance. It is better communication, stronger skills, and a healthier relationship between you and your dog.

We will need current vaccination records, your dog’s regular food, any required medications, and an accurate description of your dog’s behavior, routines, health, and history.

Please tell us what has actually been happening at home, including incidents or concerns that may be difficult to discuss. This information helps us create the safest and most effective training plan for your dog. Our purpose is to understand and help—not to judge.

We will provide a complete packing and drop-off checklist before your dog’s stay.

We generally avoid casual visits during a Board & Train because seeing an owner and then separating again can be confusing or disruptive for some dogs. Our priority is protecting your dog’s progress and emotional well-being.

You will receive regular updates during the program, and owner instruction is included before your dog goes home. If we believe a visit or mid-program lesson would benefit your particular dog, we will discuss it with you and arrange it intentionally.
